I just finished Blood Bonds, Book 3 of ‘The Bonds That Tie’ series, by J Bree and WOWZA 😲😲😲! (This is spoiler-free FYI!)
OK FIRST OFF! The first half of this book is EPIC 🙌🏻! I was so UNBELIEVABLY 😲 impressed with how the momentum continued from that big cliffhanger at the end of the second book! Honestly, the continuance of the story into the third book and the way that piece is resolved, was BRILLIANT 👏🏻! So so so good! Soooooo good in fact, that I started messaging my girlfriends and commenting on posts about how BLOWN AWAY 🤯 I was with the amazing DRAMA 🎭 in the first half of this book! Absolutely FANTASTIC 👏🏻. EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS for sure 🙌🏻! So many times we are let down after a major cliffhanger and I can honestly say, this book did not disappoint! Completely drew me in! 🥳🥳🥳
Mannnnnnnn there were SO MANY great 🤩 moments in this book! We learn quite a bit more about our girl and I have to say I’m a BIG fan of the “godlike” side 🙌🏻! Completely bada$s 👊🏻! And her Bonds… oh boy 🔥 oh boy 🔥! I’ve got ANOTHER one that I’m now even MORE crazy about then I was before 🥵! All I will say is… it’s about DANG time, oh DARK ONE! 😅😅😅 But dannng… the possessive, protectiveness 🤺 of these guys is through the roof and I am HERE FOR IT 🙋🏻♀️. Not to mention a certain somethin’ 😉 somethin’ 😉 scene that begins with a little lookie loo 👀 and ends with… well… 🍑 + 🍆 + 🍆 = 🔥🔥🔥! Boo yeah, baby 👊🏻! 😂😂😂
I also really loved 💜 that there is still quite a bit of mystery 🔎 around a certain Bond and with that, I LOVE 💗 that we are still in the ‘Damaged Dark’ on that One! It just makes me super EXCITED 🤩 about the next book and to learn more about these ‘void-eyed’ Bonds and what the deal-i-o is with certain all-nighter chats! Really, there is still quite a bit of mystery even though quite a bit was revealed 👏🏻! Makes us want for more while at the same time, get some MUCH needed answers! 🙌🏻 Annnnd for all of y’all with some major ANXIETY 😬😬😬 from some pretty AGONIZING 😩😩😩 conspiracy theories from Book 2… just know that YES!, you will have those answers!! Woot 👏🏻! Woot 👏🏻!
But I CANNOT … NOT … mention that ending! So! I totally won’t spoil it 😁… but I will say that in true J Bree fashion… BOOM 💥. Like with the ending of Book 2, a big B0MB 💣 is dropped and all I can say is thank the book gods ‘Forced Bonds’ will be out this March because I think everyone & their brother/sister/cousin/spouse/aunt/uncle/mother/grandfather/grandmother/first cousin/cousin removed by some ungodly number (OK you get the gist 😅) … NEEDS to know if this is LEGIT or if something else is really up! WE NEED TO KNOW J BREE 😩😩😩😂😂😂!
So if you like a bit of a enemies-to-lovers, bully romance, rejected mates VIBE (I say VIBE because it really isn’t one of those… it’s just in it’s own wheelhouse), page-turning action, hot & heavy STEAM 🔥, and an ending with a TWIST 🌪 … you may want to give this one a go!
