Savage Bonds ( The Bonds That Tie Book 2) by J Bree

Emoji Review by Rebecca Dixon

I just finished Savage Bonds, Book 2 of ‘The Bonds That Tie’ series, by J Bree and Holy Bonds this book was AMAZING 🤩🤩🤩! There are NO SPOILERS below FYI!

OK so the first book was INCREDIBLE 🙌🏻! I wrote this massive GUSHING review of it because I was SO BLOWN 🤯 away with the serious page turning levels of Book 1! And I have to tell you… a lot of times, I just lose interest in the second book of a series 😩! The magic ✨ often times melts away for me and my interest, sadly, fizzles away. BUT THIS IS NOT THE CASE with this series! Book 2 DEFINITELY stepped up to the plate and the page-turning (or screen swiping, clicking, well whatever your deal is 😆) just accelerated even more!! 👏🏻

First off, this book picked up RIGHT where Book 1 left off and all I have to say is THANK YOU 🙏🏻 THANK YOU 🙏🏻 THANK YOU 🙏🏻 for the MIA of a time-lapse 👏🏻! Myself and well, like every other reader on the planet is super grateful for that 😆! ESPECIALLY since Book 1 ended with a cliffhanger 😱! So Book 2 started off with a bang and to be honest, it just felt seamless. As if we were at the end of Book 1 and then turned the page to the next chapter. Which I ALWAYS LOVE 💜. Next, we had some really cool stuff happen in this book. Not only do we get MORE answers about Oli’s mysterious past (YES 🥳🥳🥳,) we also get some highly anticipated, ‘fragrant’ moments that were ohhhh sooooo worth every sentence 🥵! Moments that I honestly didn’t expect to happen in this book, but was SO HAPPY 😍😍😍 that they did! Not only does our FMC make some serious headway 💜 with her guys, but she also grows into even more of a bada$s 🤺!! I just love it when a character finally gets some self-worth after having a lifetime of insecurities! It’s super exciting when a powerful 💪🏻 FMC gets into her powers! And the guys 🔥🔥🔥! Let me talk about the guys 🔥🔥!! I had already started falling for a few in Book 1 but mannnnnn … I just love even MORE of them now! Although there is one in particular who’s splaying fingers from Book 1 still had me at Midol 💊!!🥰🥰🥰😁😁😁

But let’s get to the REALLY good stuff! That ENDING! Ok so I can’t spoil it (obviously,) BUT LET ME TELL YOU… what a TWIST 🌪 ! Like…we are talking the book finished and I was like… “Huh 🤔. Wonder what that means. Ok, cool… I can live with that. It’s a cliffhanger but not HORRIBLE or anything. December isn’t THAT far away, right 🤷🏻‍♀️?” But WAIT 🤚🏻. Hold up a second ⏰. Mod Maria Tracy, who is ALSO addicted to this series, starts messaging me her theories once I told her I finished the book and OH MY GOSH 🤯🤯🤯! If she is right, holy smokes 😳😮😲! I feel like I have to go back and re-read BOTH books with this theory in mind 🧠 before Book 3 comes out! And IF IT IS CORRECT …. AGONY 😫!!!!! AGONY 😫, I TELL YOU 😫!!!! But also sort of AMAZEBALLS 🤪 because it’s not often an author surprises me like this!!! Like SERIOUSLY! If this is a legit thing then WOW 😯😦😧😮😲. Talk about GENIUS 💡 levels of a MAJOR TWIST 🌪🌪🌪 with sprinkling TINY, hardly noticeable clues 🔍throughout both books! LIKE WOW 😱! JUST WOW 😱! Half of me wants it to be true because….DRAMA 🎭 ! And the other half of me doesn’t because…. AGONY 😩! 😆😆😆

Honestly, this series is just AMAZING 🤩. I can’t believe I loved Book 2 just as must (if not more) than Book 1! I can’t believe how attached to this story, characters, and world I have become! And I still have questions ❓! There is still a lot of mystery! And since this is an RH, I know there is still tons more great steam 🔥 on its way! Speaking of this being an RH, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again! This series doesn’t feel like a typical RH. It’s just a really cool 😎 concept and there is a bit of an enemy-to-lovers vibe going on! The steam plotline doesn’t take over and I’m legitimately invested in both the non-steam plotline and the steam plotline equally! December can’t get here soon enough!!! Come on Book 3 👏🏻👏🏻!!!

So if you like a bit of a enemies-to-lovers, rejected mates VIBE (I say VIBE because it really isn’t one of those… it’s just in it’s own wheelhouse)… you may want to give this one a go! It’s free on KU and you never know… it may just be the book that binds you!
