I finished ‘Killer Crescent’, Book 1 of ‘Rebels and Psychos’ by Leigh Kelsey and I gotta say, it was FANTASTIC 🤩! (FYI, I’m not affiliated with the author and there are NO spoilers! 🙌🏻)
OK ✅! Where do I start?! This BOOK, man 👏🏻! So FUNNY 😂! If you like a QUIRKY FMC that makes you LEGIT LAUGH OUT LOUD 🤣, this is YOUR girl 🙌🏻! She’s a bit of a psyc0p@th 🔪 to be fair 😅… but it’s so well done 😆! Her inner monologue is right on point 🎯! Not to mention… the author does something I HAVE NEVER- EVER- SEEN BEFORE 😲!

Sooooo… I’ve never seen an author have little cliffnotes 📝 like THIS throughout the book!! SERIOUSLY, you click 🖱️ on a little number next to a word and BOOM 💥! UP opens MORE inner monologue from the FMC that is HYSTERICAL 🤣! I have NEVER seen an author use cliffnotes 📝 that way and I gotta say, I’m a FAN 👏🏻. I think this might be CUTTING ✂️ EDGE 📐folks! And if I’m WRONG… if this is COMMON and I just didn’t know 🤷🏻♀️… WHELP! I’m sure someone will let me know after this! 😅
OK!! So the STORY 👏🏻! It’s actually pretty GREAT 👍🏻 . This is such a FUN 🤩 Why Choose! It almost pokes 👉🏻fun at the number of mates a FMC can have 😆… and HONESTLY, I’m here for it 🙌🏻! I was LEGIT rooting for EVERY new mate and to be fair, even the one we are supposed to h@te 😱! I gotta say though, the VAMPIRE 🧛♂️ that can’t stop calling our girl names after SWEETS 🍭 and yummy 🤤 food, is probably one of the MOST unexpected personalities from an OLD vamp I’ve ever read and I absolutely ATE IT UP 👏🏻🙌🏻👏🏻!!
Oh the story 😆! Yeesh 🤦🏻♀️! I digressed, didn’t I 😅!! WELL! There is a BADA$S 🤺 FMC named Rebel (I mean, GREAT name amirite? 🙌🏻) who is basically an a$s@ssin 🥷 for hire! She’s a dud of a witch 🧙🏻♀️ that came from a PRESTIGIOUS witch family that all of a sudden, find’s herself in the precarious situation of a HOT 🥵 S&XY 🍆 SILVER FOX 🦊 (ok.. ok.. he’s a WOLF 🐺 ) that basically says she has to go to some place to learn her magic 🪄 or it’s exnay on the keeping the magic eh 😫!! FORCED to make a decision, our girl is thrown into a situation where she’s confronted with one HOT 🥵 S&XY guy after another…! And again, let me tell you… I was LOVING 🥰 each and every one! 😍😍
So if you are looking for a WHY CHOOSE with streamlined ➡️ writing that jumps RIGHT into it, a FMC that is b@llsy with quite a chip on her shoulder & with a tr@gic 😫 background, FUNNY 😆 inner monologue that even extends into the cliffnotes 📝, and some pretty H0T 🥵 guys with some H0T 🥵 STEAM 🌶️… this is for you! Oh and yeah it’s got a cool non-romantic plotline too 🙌🏻… so good in fact, I’m about to start book 2 now! 👏🏻👏🏻
