I finished ‘Don’t Rush Me (Nora Jacobs Book 1)’ by Jackie May and it was GREAT 🤩!! (FYI, I’m not affiliated with the author and there are NO spoilers! 🙌🏻)
OK ✅! So I actually read this book several years ago and I was talking 🗣️ to someone about it the other day … and how it didn’t feel like a typical RH 💘 (it felt more like an Urban Fantasy to my recollection)… so I decided to do a RARE 🦏 re-read (I say rare because these days there are soooooo many AMAZING 🤩 books out that it is SUPER rare I re-read 😲) And so I thought to myself, “I’ll just pick it up and give it ONE chapter or so… just to spark ⚡️my memory 🧠 some,” And!! I couldn’t put it down 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻! I LITERALLY read this book in one day! I LOVE IT ❤️!
So I just have to say that if you are a UF fan… this is DEFINITELY your cuppa tea ☕️! It is fast-paced 🏃🏻♀️, streamlined writing ✍️ that constantly had me page 📄 turning! The characters are GREAT and super relatable.. honestly ✌🏻, it really reminds me of the way I feel about the characters in Kate Daniels or Mercy Thompson or The Hollows 🙌🏻! And you would NEVER know from Book 1 that it is a RH (not that it’s GOOD 👍🏻 or BAD 👎🏻… just that it is different and I LOVED ❤️ IT 👏🏻!) I’m still scratching 🤔 my head wondering how it will all play out, even though I’ve read the series before 😂 (again, it’s been years!)
So what’s it about?? The story kicks 🦵 off with our FMC riding a bus 🚌 in downtown Detroit and she gets this weird feeling that someone means her HARM 😱! There are several people that could fit the bill 💵, but she soon finds out its someone who is extremely infatuated 👀 with her!! One thing leads to another and she convinces the dude to take her to a sup 🧛♂️ 🐺 🧚♀️ club where he (a human 🧍🏼♂️) would most likely get what he deserved ☠️! But it never occurred 🤔 to her that if a mere human 🧍🏼♂️is obsessed with her… how would the sups 🧛♂️ react?!? 👀👀 Throw 🏈 in the fact she can read people’s thoughts 💭 by TOUCH ✋🏻AND there is a crime 🕵️♀️ that needs solving… this plotline is a pretty big page-turner 📄📄📄!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This IS a COMPLETED series and Book 1 is a SUPER slow 🐢 burn. I’d actually have to say there is NO ❌ burn at all… again, this feels VERY UF… but with it, there are several HUNKY 🥵 guys that are basically OBSESSED ❤️🔥 with our girl! Honestly, it’s EXACTLY 👌🏻the kind of book I LOVE ❤️… having the FMC be the center of DESIROUS 🔥 attention, while also having really LIKEABLE 😍 characters. I think I’m IN LOVE 🥰🥰🥰 with Big-T and the way he goes on rampages 👊🏻 for our girl! Everyone knows you shouldn’t mess with a TROLL 🧌 after all!! 😆😆😆
So if you LOVE fast-paced 🏃🏻♀️ writing, a sassy & strong 💪🏻 FMC with a special ability that can help solve a mystery 🔎, several HOT 🥵 dudes that are OBSESSED 👀 ❤️🔥 with our girl (knowing that hey, it may all work out since it’s a RH 💘!,) a world 🌎 with lots of different sups 🧛♂️🐺🧚♀️ and a couple ENDEARING 😍characters that you CAN’T WAIT to see more of… then give this a shot! It’s Free on KU and you never know, it may just captivate 👀 you!
