I finished ‘Obsession (Alphaholes Book 1)’ by Gemma Weir and I AM OFFICIALLY OBSESSED 👀!! (FYI, I’m not affiliated with the author and there are NO spoilers! 🙌🏻)
So this is a DARKER contemporary romance with triggers! So check the trigger warning ⚠️ if that’s a concern! Mainly, the trigger is around a MAJOR alphahole 💪🏻 with DUBIOUS consent that gives Z from Haunting 👻 Adeline a run for his money 😲😲🔥!!!
But man oh man I LOVED ❤️ this book!!! OK ✅! So it starts off with a 16 year old (I know, I know … but it’s SO GOOD and makes sense…TRUST ME 😉!) … who is going into her SOPHMORE year of high school, where there are 4 boys who are THE ELITES (aka, RICH 💰 dudes that run the school 🏫!) The ringleader decides that our girl is HIS 🔥 and goes to pretty EXTREME 😵 lengths to make it so! But the story DOES NOT stay in highschool… it’s just where it begins! Fast forward 🏃🏻♀️ 3 years and if we thought this dude was bad in high school….😳😳🌶️🔥🍆😆
I seriously just LOVED ❤️🔥 this book! But again, you HAVE to be a FAN of ARROGANT 😤, CONTROLLING 🎮 ALPHAHOLES 😈 and really SPICY 🌶️ DUBIOUS ⛓️ CONSENT 💋! I also thought the plotline was super SMART 💡! It just made sense to me. The FMC’s reactions… where the plotline went ✈️… how the characters were when they were older! I LOVED the way the FMC just stayed STRONG 💪🏻 and stood her GROUND! I loved all of the DRAMATIC 🎭 protective scenes and how FREAKIN ARROGANT our guy is 😂! It’s like everyone knew she was dating him but her 🤣😂🤣! Not to mention, the SPICE 🌶️ was SO HOT 🥵🥵🥵👏🏻! Like… H.O.T. 🔥🔥🔥!! And I LOVED the way it built to its conclusion… just felt authentic to me (well as AUTHENTIC as a DARK CONTEMP ROMANCE 💘 with DUBIOUS ⛓️ CONSENT could be!)
SO if you loved books like Haunting 👻 Adeline (cuz you love some Z 🥵🥵🥵!,) you LOVE controlling alphaholes 😈 knowing that the chick really DOES dig it 🔥, you love some HOT UNDER THE COLLAR STEAM 🌶️, and you love what I think is a pretty SMART 💡, page-turning 📖 story (I DID stay up ALL NIGHT 🌙 READING IT,) and a unique plotline 👏🏻…give this a SHOT! It’s FREE on KU and you never know… you may be OBSESSED 👀 ❤️🔥 with it too!
