I finished reading ‘Crown of Chaos,’ Book 4 of Legacy of the Nine Realms series by Amelia Hutchins and it’s FANTASTIC 🤩! (FYI, I’m not affiliated with the author, not in the book biz, reading is just a HOBBY, and I’m just a regular reader that is super passionate 💗 about spreading the word on GREAT books!) There are NO MAJOR spoilers 🙌🏻!
OK! Mannnnnnnnn … THIS BOOK 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻! SO MUCH happened 🙌🏻!!! Seriously! We ended in a COMPLETELY different place then when we started 😲… and the journey 😱! WOW 😵! So many INCREDIBLE 🤩 moments happened in this book! There were a few AGONIZING 😩 moments too… one in particular… CRY FEST CENTRAL 😭😭😭! But in saying that, although it can be a trigger for some 😢, I REALLY think it was a SIGNIFICANT moment in the plotline & although it was tough… definitely TOUGH 😣… I think it was rather BRAVE of Amelia to explore a devastation that many people go through in such a respectful & impactful way 💗. And not only that… it was pretty KEY to the overall plotline and character development! It was really a DEFINING 👆🏻 moment. A BIG turn in the enemies-to-lovers trope! HONESTLY ✌🏻, right after that… I thought 🤔… THAT’S IT! Turn of the lights! Enemies-to-lovers is done 😩! We got a ROMANTIC HEA 💘 folks! BUT ✋🏻! NOPE 😆! (AND PRAISE 🙏🏻THE BOOK GODDESS 💃… aka Amelia 😅😅😅… FOR THAT 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻!)
SERIOUSLY 🥸😆! After that HEA-like moment, I REALLY was WONDERING 💭 if I would be HOOKED🪝from then on out!? And I don’t know why 🤷🏻♀️ because THIS IS AMELIA FREAKING HUTCHINS we are talking about 😆🤦🏻♀️😅! And I gotta say! She DID NOT DISAPPOINT 👏🏻! It was so BRILLIANT 💡 actually! Pure GENIUS 🧠! To find a way to take that moment… a moment that felt like ALL the walls were DOWN ⬇️…. and flip ⤵️ it on its head! Like! HOW?!! 😲😲😲 It all SEEMED like it was going to be OK ✅! BUT! The key here I realized is the term ADVERSARY (not ENEMY!). In-the-name-of ADVERSARY, there was brilliant distance between the MCs that quickly allowed a Ball where … let me tell ya! … I was ready to SMACK 👋🏻 THE HELL OUT OF KNOX 😡 & a little VIXEN 😡😡! And not only that! AURORA! WTF 🤬! Girrrrrrrrrrl…. I said in the last review that KNOX better RUN 🏃🏻♀️ cause I’m a comin’ for him 👊🏻! And Aurora girl, you have NO IDEA…you better get that betraying, self-serving, hiney out of that Ball 😤! Cuz it AINT’T just me thoroughly ready to POUNCE 🤺! Our girl Aria is CLEVER AS EVER and you better watch 👀 out!! (Errr… is it normal to talk to characters in a review?! Ehhhh… not so sure about that 🤷🏻♀️ 😂! But oh well! Ima gonna do it 🤣🤣🤣!)
So that WHOLE scene was FANTASTIC (needless to say 😅!) And then … we are back on track with enemies-to-lovers! Woot 🙌🏻! Woot 🙌🏻! And THEN!! Jusssst when we think the HEA coming… BOOM 💥 !!! In comes an unfortunate FLYER 📄 misunderstanding that makes our girls blood (and well ours too 😅)… BOIL 😡!!! It was really SO GOOD 👏🏻. I was NERVOUS 😬 at this point that a misunderstanding would turn into a HUGE misfortune (and anxiety was a kickin’ in for real 😆!) BUT THEN! Freaking BADA$S 🤺 Aria kicking butt & taking names! THIS GIRL 👏🏻! She is AMAZING 🤩. Every time she gets beat down 👊🏻, she rises STRONGER 💪🏻. Her barbed tongue 👅 is so HONEST, BLUNT, and CLEVER! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 She’s like… take this BARRIER yo and my SASS too 👊🏻🤣! Oh! And I LOVED 🥰 the relationships formed in this book! 🥳🥳 FINALLY our girl is getting some folks behind her back 🙌🏻! And it was SO NICE 😊! I mean so, so NICE 🥰 for her to FINALLY become what she needs to be 🙌🏻! To see her FINALLY not give two FLYING FLIPPERS anymore 👏🏻🙌🏻👏🏻! Our girl gets so SMART💡& POWERFUL 💥 in this book & I am HERE for it 🙋🏻♀️!
AND! NOT ONLY THAT 😲! But yesssssssss on the ending 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻! 🥳🥳🥳 We have been TEASED 😜 with this since Book 2 (errr maybe Book 1?) … and it is finally coming to fruition! 🤩 Yippee 🥳 🥳! We already have TONS more answers from this book and we are about to get MORE 😍! Such an EXCITING 🤩 ending for the FUTURE 🐉 🔥 🏰 of our Queen 👸 and I CANNOT WAIT to find out what is next 🙌🏻! I am also SUPER invested in finding out what will happen with this enemies-to-lovers 🥷➕ 💞 trope! Will Amelia sprinkle some fairy 🧚♀️ dust & keep the ANGST kicking 🦵?! OR… will she take us down a DIFFERENT romantic 💘 path 🤔 (ok, I’m not SERIOUSLY thinking Knox won’t be end game, but the journey is certainly fun, isn’t it 😂😂😂!?!) And GOOD 👍🏻 NEWS 👏🏻! OK! So this isn’t a completed series, no… BUT ✋🏻! The way this book ends is SO satisfying 😍! It’s a minor cliffhanger, but it’s not gonna leave you in agony! 👏🏻🥳🙌🏻🤩👏🏻
So… WITH THAT 😁! If you LOVE enemies-to-lovers trope that is amped up to it’s MAX with AMAZING STEAM 🔥, a SASSY takes no CRAP 👊🏻, tell-it-like-it-is HONEST ✌🏻FMC, a HOT/COLD Alphahole 🥵 that SCREAMS SEX 🌶 for DAYS, a FANTASTIC FANTASY 🧚♀️ plotline… this may just be the PERFECT 👌🏻💋 amount of HEAT 🔥 & FANTASY for you!
