I just finished reading ‘A Feather’s Worth,’ Book 2 in Spawn of Darkness series, by Sarah Ashleigh Parker! I can just say one word… WOW 🤩! The book picks off immediately where Book 1 ends (which I love…straight into the action!) Whereas Book 1 has a lot of humor and really lightens up the dark premise, over half of Book 2 is BRUTAL! So just a heads up! Make sure to heed the Author’s warnings before you embark on Book 2! But the good news is there is light at the end of the tunnel! And even though it was really hard to read over half of Book 2… I couldn’t put it down! I was ADDICTED! I had to stop reading at 4am. Not because I was tired, but because my battery ran out on my reader!
I really fell in love with the characters in this book! After going through literally hell & back with them for over half of this book (again…big non-consensual triggers!,) I felt SO connected to them when we all came through it together 😊. And then like Book 1, the humor comes back full force! The FMC’s internal dialogue is hysterical! Her discussions with her hoo-ha made me laugh out loud frequently 😆! This book is LOADED with sexual puns and one-liners. I honestly have no idea how the author can constantly crack me up with spinning so many jokes around sex! For me, the humor is what really makes this series brilliant 🙌!
If you like a heck of an emotional ride, can handle some huge non-consensual triggers, love some sexy alpha males, and enjoy some really sexual pun & innuendo humor… this book is for you!
