I finished reading ‘Flames of Chaos,’ by Amelia Hutchins and all I gotta say is WOW 🤩 WOW 🤩 WOWZERS 🤯 (FYI, I’m not affiliated with the author, not in the book biz, reading is just a HOBBY, and I’m just a regular reader that is super passionate 💗 about spreading the word on GREAT books!) There are NO spoilers 🙌🏻!
Ok guys 👏🏻!!! I have been seeing people rec this book and let’s be honest ✌🏻, Amelia Hutchins is a FORCE 🌬 to be reckoned with when it comes to Fantasy 🧚♀️ & Paranormal Romance 💋(dannnng her steam is so hooooootttttttttt 🔥🔥🔥!) So I pretty much KNEW it was going to be GREAT 🤩! And I was NOT disappointed 🙌🏻! Like… imagine if Stephanie Hudson & Nikki St Crowe/Kresley Cole/JR Ward had a baby 👶🏼, it would be Amelia Hutchins kicking butt 🤺 & taking names ✍️ ! (Oh my gosh is that weird 😳? That is weird, right 😬?! Why the heck did I write that! Doh 🤦🏻♀️! Forgive me Amelia, but I’m just trying to say YOU ROCK 🤩 with that FANTASY 🧚♀️ & STEAM 🔥 girl! So yeah, errr… umm.. awkward moment 🥴 … pressing on 😅 …)
So the story 🙌🏻!! OK ✅ so the story kicks off with sister witches (they are all always born as a set of twins 👯♀️ and can be different witch combos… werewolves 🐺, sirens 🧜♀️, succubus’ 💋, how freaking COOL 😎 is that?!) Yeah, so it starts off with all of these sister witches 🪄 returning to an immortal city in the human 👩🏻 realm in search of the FMC’s missing twin sister. The immortal city 🏙 is the gateway to the 9 realms 🌎, where the Witches bloodline 🩸 sets the rules for entry. These gals have been away from it all for a while and things have changed in a BIG way (in the form of a freaking POWERFUL 💪🏻 hunk of a KING 👑 & his band of HOT 🥵 merry men taking over the immortal city!) Before our girl can even enter the city, a cascade of black SUVs 🚘 storm in and make it MORE THAN crystal 💎 clear that these B!TCHES (oops WITCHES 😆) are NOT 🚫 welcome back! And just as the KING & our girl lock eyes 👀 (w/freaking sizzling heat 🔥, I tell you!)… yeah and just as we start to think 💡our girl is about to be tossed out on her hiney 😁😄… we realize the force to be reckoned with just may not be the KING after all 😲!! … But something unknown and FIERCE 👊🏻 brewing within her! (Rattle! Rattle! Rattle!)
Mannnnnn, I gotta tell you 👏🏻! This book is an enemies-to-lovers trope on STEROIDS 😲😲😲! It’s so so so so good 👏🏻. And like, when I started it… I thought… huh 🤔, I wonder if it will be a typical enemies-to-lovers? But OH MY GOSH 🤩! This is the furthest from predictable and the HEAT IS OFF THE CHARTS HOT 🔥 HOT 🔥 HOT 🔥 HOT 🔥! Like a GOOD portion of this I was thinking 💭 … WHOA 😮 this is a smokin’ HOT 🥵 Paranormal Romance! And then, like, it just got so FIERCE 💪🏻 with the FANTASY 🧚🧚♀️🧚♂️. This really is an epic Fantasy story with multiple realms 🌎, creatures 👹, wars 🗡 on the horizon 🌅… it’s just so so so GOOD 👍🏻. And the mystery 🔎 element is so GREAT 🤩 too! I 💯 LEGIT needed to know what the HELL happened to her sister 😩!!! And I am SO HAPPY 👏🏻! SO HAPPY 👏🏻! To tell you that YOU DO FIND OUT in THIS BOOK 🥳🥳🥳! Praise the book goddess 💃(errr… aka, Amelia 😆) for not leading us astray on this! And ohhhhhhhh 👀 when you find out….. like….. WOW 😯. WOW 😮. WOW 😲. WOW 😵. JUST 🤚🏻. WOW 🤯. SHOCKING 😱😱😱! (ehhhh probably should mention there is a tiny itty bitty bit of horror 🩸🔪 🧟 here to show how EVIL 👿 one realm can be… but it’s tiny 🤏🏻! Just press on if you don’t like that kind of thing… it’s so worth it 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻!)
And LIKE! I have to say too that usually with PRN/Romance Fantasies I’m RAVING 😍 about the MMC first… and don’t worry 😉 … I definitely will here in sec! But this FMC IS SO SO BADA$S 🤺. She is so INTELLIGENT and she takes NO CRAP 👊🏻 from anyone! Especially our boy 😂! And she’s FREAKING funny at times! Like, I just have to give you a tiny snippit… so so funny…😅😅😅….

So yeah, so funny 😂! And OMG the pineapple 🍍! Man, if you read it, you’ll KNOW 🍍 + 🩲! LMAO 🤣🤣🤣. And… OH MY GOODNESS the stuff that goes on in conjunction with the rattle 🐍 moments… like I can’t say particulars, cuz spoilers ⚠️! But the bluntness of the lines in those moments (you lack brains & are a sh!t male provider 🤣😂🤣!) LMAO 🤣 … like LMAO 🤣! I laughed so HARD! I totally DID NOT expect that with this book! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
And yessssssssss….. last but not least…. OUR BOY 🥵! Man I’m so conflicted with this guy! No question, he is SMOKING HOT 🔥. But he is a PROPER enemy 🥷 in an enemies-to-lovers trope! So one moment, I’m OBSESSED ❤️🔥 with him and the next moment I’m like WTF 🤬. Why did you do that you ALPHAHOLE 😡😡😡! And it’s just so PERFECT 👌🏻! The dirty talk OMG 🔥. OMG🔥. Just… WOW 🥵. This is NOT fade-to-black! Nope! But it’s also not EROTICA (like it’s by no means completely smut!) It really is perfect for the kinds of books I like because there is a KICKA$S 🤺 FMC WITH A HOT 🥵 MMC, lots of great steam 🍆🍑🌶, but also a HUGE Fantasy non-romantic plotline that has you on the edge of your seat! Jumping up and down 🙌🏻! Hooting 👊🏻 & Hollering 👏🏻!
Annnnnd… the ending of this book… the ENDING 🤯🤯🤯! GOBSMACKED! SO DRAMATIC 🎭! SO GOOD 👏🏻. SO SATISFYING 🙌🏻. It really reminded me a lot of CC (here’s looking at you SJM fans!)… I mean, it’s NOTHING like CC…. but it’s similar in the fact that it sneaks up on you! You enjoy the beginning of the book, yes, but by the end of the book it is just so EPICALLY EXPLOSIVE 💥 💥💥 and you are like THANK YOU 🙏🏻 THANK YOU 🙏🏻 THANK YOU 🙏🏻 Amelia for writing this and THANK YOU TO ALL THE FB GROUPS for recommending it! I am starting Book 2 today and I LITERALLY CANNOT WAIT 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.
So if you LOVE enemies-to-lovers trope that is amped up to it’s MAX, a SASSY takes no CRAP 👊🏻, tell-it-like-it-is HONEST ✌🏻 FMC, a HOT/COLD ALPHAHOLE 🥵 that SCREAMS SEX 🌶 for DAYS, a FANTASTIC FANTASY 🧚♀️ plotline that has you on the edge of the seat needing the second book STAT 🚨… give this a shot! It’s only 99 cents on KU and it may just be the PERFECT 👌🏻💋 amount of HEAT 🔥 & FANTASY 🧚♀️ for you!
