I just read ‘Psycho Shifters,’ Cruel Shifterverse Book 1 by Jasmine Mas and it is FREAKING INCREDIBLE 👏🏻… MIND BLOWN 🤯 … this is my latest OBSESSION ❤️! (FYI, I’m not affiliated with the author, not in the book biz, reading is just a HOBBY, and I’m just a regular reader that is super passionate 💗about spreading the word on GREAT books!) There are NO spoilers 🙌🏻!
Guyssssss…. this… book…. IS …. AMAZING 🤩🤩🤩. OK! So I’m gonna be HONEST ✌🏻 here… even though it’s ONLY been out on Amazon for a FEW days, I’ve scrolled past it a few times because I’m NOT an omegaverse person 😢. But the fact that this was labeled “shifterverse,” that it has a COOL 😎 cover, and that it has over 500 ratings w/nearly 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ in just a matter of days since it was released… I thought, OK ✅ let me give this a shot! It’s FREE on KU…right 😁?! Can’t hurt 🤷🏻♀️! Welp! I am SO GLAD 🙌🏻 that I DID because this book was EVERYTHING that I could want and THEN some! 🥳🥳🥳 Seriously!!!! Gah, SO GOOD 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻! I need BOOK 2 NOW! 😩😩😩
OK 👌🏻! So it starts off with a FMC that lives in a SHIFTER realm 🌎! She is 10 years old, an indentured ⛓ servant, abused TERRIBLY by her caretaker 😭, has a little sis 👧 that she protects FIERCELY, and is assumed to be a “null.” In a realm where shifters are alphas, betas, omegas, or nulls… a NULL is pretty much the shortest end of the stick ☹️! Fast forward 🏃🏻♀️ 10 years and she is RIGHT AT THE AGE where she can be tested to see what she truly is 🙌🏻! And oh boy 🥳! This little small bodied, tiny spitfire 🔥, who’s literally been to HELL and back, might surprise the HECK out of everyone! It’s a BRUTAL 😠, COLD 🥶 world where only the STRONGEST 💪🏻 shifters are protectors of the portals to the Fae Realm! Our girl soon finds herself next to 3 HOT 🥵 ALPHA PROTECTORS and lets just say… everything that comes after is not what I thought it would be! 😲😲😲
So this is an enemies 🥷 -to-lovers 💘 RH (Reverse Harem) and it is a SLOW burn that is SUPER HOT 🥵 🍆 🌶! Like SIZZLING 🔥! The story is categorized as bisexual and that’s because the men of her harem, who she thinks are INSANELY gorgeous 🥵, do in fact notice that EACH OTHER are INSANELY gorgeous 👀 👀👀🍆🍆🍆 😳🥵😁😂! But these guys are also SUPER PROTECTIVE 💪🏻 of our girl and YET!… complete AS$HATS to her at the same time ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 (don’t worry, by the end of the book we understand why 🥳!) The conflicting messages from these guys is actually absolutely ADDICTING and… I LOVE THEM 😍😍😍! Each guy has his own unique personality (and unique look 👀 to be fair!) and we actually get POVs from each! Which to be fair, made me LOVE each of them even MORE! 💘💘💘
But the reason the enemie-to-lovers works soooooo wellllll …. is because our girl is FIERCE 💪🏻👊🏻 🤺! SHE IS AMAZING 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻! She fights HARD 👊🏻 and when she is on her LAST leg, she fights EVEN HARDER 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻! And she is FUNNY 😂! She has lived her WHOLE life looking out for herself (because no one else has 😢😢😢) … and this chick knows how to ROLL with the punches 🤜🏻 and PUNCH BACK 🥊 ! MAN I just love her. LOVE HER ❤️❤️❤️! And she STAYS this way too 🙌🏻! THE ENTIRE BOOK 🥳🥳🥳! Yessssssssss 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 … soooooo FANTASTIC 🤩! Honeslty, that’s one of my biggest beef’s with omegaverse is the FMC’s lose that fierce sassiness … and THANK YOU 🙏🏻 TO THIS AUTHOR that … THAT DID NOT HAPPEN! Woot 🙌🏻 Woot 🙌🏻! Ohhhhh and when we find out what she shifts into…. can I say HELL YES 🙌🏻👏🏻🙌🏻!!!! I kept thinking… it HAS to be good, it HAS to be good, it HAS to be good… and YES! IT IS BADA$S! 🤺🥷💪🏻👊🏻🙌🏻 (And super freaking UNIQUE… I can only think of ONE shifter that shifts into this of ALL the series I’ve read… hint hint.. Kate Daniels!)
And the story itself is sooooo goooood 😍😍😍! Such a cool, UNIQUE concept AND it’s got one hell of a TWIST 🌪! I did not SEE 👀 this coming and honestly, I sort of have a knack for sniffing 👃🏻 out twists 😅… so this SHOCKED 😳 me! 😂😂😂 Not only were there TWISTS 🌪 and TURNS ↩️ , but this was actually quite high FANTASY with great ACTION 🤼! Also, if you aren’t into omegaverse… NO WORRIES 😉… this first book is only SLIGHT omegaverse! It differs from traditional omegaverse in several ways actually! But the primary way is that the FMC is extremely DOMINANT 🤺, INDEPENDENT 🥷, and STRONG 💪🏻 … and GET THIS!!!! SHE. STAYS. THAT. WAY. 🥳🥳🥳 The alphas can’t persuade her into anything 🙌🏻👏🏻🙌🏻! Freaking LOVED it 👏🏻!
And!! AND!!! There’s more!!!!! This author has a heck of a KNACK for DRAMA 🎭! There were NO missed opportunities in this book 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻! Not ONE moment where I was like… dannnng if only this happened 🙄! NOPE! She lead us on this AMAZING ride and totally knew how to throw in the DRAMA at just the RIGHT 👍🏻 moments! SO. WELL. DONE. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Y’all know I loooooove good DRAMATIC moments … and this book was sooooo FANTASTIC with them 🥳! I even teared up at one part and was like OMG 😲 OMG 😲 OMG 😲… he has SEEN 👀 THEM now 🥺🥺🥺!!! Oh my goodness, my HEART went to MUSH 💔! The way he CRADLED her 🥺🥺🥺. If you have been following the author’s BookToks, you may have any idea 💡 what I’m referring to! I am a SUCKER for a FMC that has a TOUGH 😭 past, but is STRONGER than all get out & is a SURVIVOR! And this girl definitely is! Like she legit is everything I hoped for 💗💗💗!
Seriously… I can’t say it ENOUGH… I FORSEE this one being the NEXT BIG THING everyone is talking about! 🙌🏻 This author is a newbie! This is her very FIRST book 😲! And she’s hit a homerun on the very first try 😲! Unbelievable 😵! I am HOOKED 👏🏻! I need book 2 now 😩😩😩! Not gonna lie… this is up there as one of my all time favorite RHs 😳😳😳! THEMS some BIG shoes 👠 to fill, y’all! It’s up there with the BEST 🏆! I could literally read this book again…right now! (Like seriously thinking about it 🤔😂!)
NOW! All that being said! REMEMBER I said at the beginning I’m not into omegaverse?!? This book DOES have some of those themes, but they are soooooo minor 🤏🏻, it really should NOT sway you to not give this a shot if you are like me in that regard! BUT 🤚🏻! I have to give a DISCLAIMER ⚠️ … Book 2 is NOT out yet and I obviously don’t know what the future 🔮 will hold as far as omegaverse goes! But I CAN say this book is FREAKING FANTASTIC 🤩 and I LOVED every single sentence of it! 👏🏻🙌🏻👏🏻
So if you love enemies 🥷-to-lovers 💘 with SLOW burn 🔥, some freaking HOT 🥵 scenes that aren’t too much in quantity (but are some M/M 🍆,) you are opened to trying a RH (psssst…this is a GREAT 🤩 ONE to try!,) you love STRONG 💪🏻 FMCs who STAY STRONG 🥳, you LOVE a plotline that is super different, high fantasy, with cool of TWISTS 🌪 and TURNS ↩️ … and is NOT your normal shifters… give this a shot! It’s free on KU and you never know… you may be 200% PYSCHO about it (like I am 🙋🏻♀️😁😁😁!)
